Long-term commitment to the orphanage
Our mission is to provide fundraising for vital care for orphans with disabilities in Ukraine, empowering them with the care and resources they need.

Help Us Make a Difference
For over a decade, we’ve been supporting Nizhyn Internat in Ukraine. Our current campaign focuses on raising £25,000 to purchase a wheelchair-accessible minibus, which will vastly improve mobility and accessibility for these children. Your contribution can transform lives—join us in making this a reality.

What is an “Internat”?
The direct translation of Internat is “shelter” which provides an accurate description of its function – it is a home, school, hospital and, unfortunately, a hospice for over 100 disabled children ranging from early years to adolescence.
The people working at the Internat devote their entire lives to helping, with many of the workers being underpaid and essentially living at the facility to provide sufficient round-the-clock care. But the fact is, they don’t have the facilities that they need, and they receive very little government funding.

Who are Friends of Nizhyn Internat?
Hi, we’re Will and Alf. Together we’ve been visiting Ukraine for over 10 years. What started as two week school summer camps turned into some of the most important memories and relationships we’ve formed.
With the coming of the invasion in 2022, the nature of our trips to Ukraine have changed in order to provide as much support as possible to those most vulnerable in these unprecedented times.
Our biggest wish is to be able to return to a peaceful Ukraine, but until then we are committed to easing the burden brought by this devastating conflict in whatever small ways that we can. By donating to our cause today, you can be part of a truly positive change for the most vulnerable people.
